Alamo --  Aunt Dorcas (Thompson) STUBBINS as she was familiarly known here, age 89 died this morning at 11:20 at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton Grimes, where she was making her home. Her death followed an injury which she received when she fell and broke her hip on Sunday May 21. On account of her advanced age, no attempt was made to set the bone by the attending physician as he believed that if he did the broken bone would not knit. Her death was not unexpected. Mrs. Stubbins was a fine Christian woman and numbered her friends by those who knew her. She was the widow of James Stubbins, a well known merchant in this place several years ago. Mrs. Stubbins is survived by one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Davis of Crawfordsville and two stepsons, Archibald Stubbins of Indianapolis and Thomas Stubbins of Cairo, Ill; Joseph Davis; AE Davis and Dr. Edgar Davis of Chicago and John Davis of Crawfordsville are nephews of the deceased. Funeral services in memory of Aunt Dorcas will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Grimes on Thursday monring at 10.  - typed by kbz
